Well, I personally believe they need both. A well put together website/blog that is able to sell digital products automatically and up load podcast and even make premium ones…I would suggest www.podbean.com for this. I pay under $5 a month and i get hosting, added storage every month, blog/website, able to sell premium podcast, and sell digital goods..Its perfecto!!!!

Melanie, you’ve hit a home run again. I absolutely agree with what you’ve said in your podcast! I’ve listened to this podcast a few times looking for this one point… I’m thinking I’d start with the blog.
Melanie’s points about which blogging software were right on. I suspect that getting a fee-based blog started would still cost less than a fee-based website and you could be up and running with a blog faster.
While blogs are actually websites, they use special software to create the pages so you can write and post daily with ease and without a webmaster.
Bottom line ~ the learning curve on starting and maintaining your blog is shorter. And Search Engines find blogs faster and they love them more than traditional websites.
So if you’re ready, jump in! The water’s fine!
