Melanie: Thank you so much for real information. Very helpful and insightful. I am not a marketer, have had no training in mar/com, although as a transcriptionist, I do have familiarity with marketing lingo. The up-selling scenario you described is very annoying to me, having gone through it on the Internet several times before. A real turnoff. I always completely abandon the purchase. For myself, I think I might just offer what I have, ask for the price, period. I do love the numbers you worked out on sales. Just 1,000 customers at $10 a pop comes to $10,000: that’s still real money.
